मेटा विश्‍वविद्यालय


  • मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय ने दिल्‍ली में मेटा विश्‍वविद्यालय स्‍थापित करने की योजना बनाई है। इसमें जामिया मिलिया संस्‍थान, दिल्‍ली विश्‍वविद्यालय, जवाहरलरल नेहरू विश्‍वविद्यालय तथा भारतीय प्राद्यौगिकी संस्‍थान , नई दिल्‍ली भाग लेंगे। 
  • मेटा विश्‍वविद्यालयों का मुख्‍य उद्देश्‍य नवीनतम प्रौद्योगिकी के इस्‍तेमाल से विभिन्‍न विश्‍वविद्यालयों द्वारा चलाए जा रहे पाठ्यक्रमों को साझा करना है जिससे छात्रों को लाभ पहुंचेगा। सरकार, उच्‍च शैक्षिक संस्‍थानों के शैक्षिक मामलों में दखल नहीं देती । 
  • मेटा विश्‍वविद्यालय द्वारा प्रस्‍तावित किए जाने पाठ्यक्रमों और क्षेत्रों की पहचान करने तथा आपस में सहयोग करने का निर्णय संस्‍थानों पर छोड़ दिया गया है। 
  • मेटा विश्‍वविद्यालय में जलवायु परिवर्तन, जन स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य और शिक्षा के क्षेत्रों में शिक्षा दी जाएगी।
  • शारीरिक रूप से उपस्थित हुए बगैर दूर रहकर शिक्षा ग्रहण करने, नवीन प्रक्रियाओं का लाभ उठाने तथा इसमें उपलबध लचीलेपन से मेटा विश्वविद्यालय दूसरी पीढ़ी के विश्‍वविद्यालयों को दर्शाता है। 
  • अत: इन संस्‍थानों की मौजूदा क्षमताओं तथा संसाधनों को इसमें इस्‍तेमाल किया जाएगा तथा इसके लिए कोई अलग से वित्‍तीय सहायता देने का प्रस्‍ताव नहीं है।
  • इन संस्‍थानों द्वारा अगले शैक्षिक सत्र से पाठ्यक्रम शुरू करने की उम्‍मीद है।

Meta University

  • The Ministry of Human Resource Development plans to set up a Meta University at Delhi in which, Jamia Milia Institute, Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi would participate. 
  • The main purpose of Meta Universities is to share learning resources by different universities by using latest technologies available in order to enable students to benefit from learning resources available in different institutions. 
  • Since the Government does not interfere in the academic matters of higher educational institutions, it is left to these institutions to collaborate and to identify the courses and areas to be offered through the Meta University. 
  • It is reported by Vice Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru University that in a meeting held between these institutions, the areas of climate change, public health and education have been identified. 
  • Meta Universities represent 2nd Generation Universities, free from physical boundary conditions and able to operate in virtual space, taking advantage of the innovation and flexibility possible in such domain. Hence the existing capabilities and resources of these institutions will be utilized and no separate funding for these intuitions is proposed for the purpose.

Thus, it is the process which destroys the natural environment i.e. an anti-natural process. These contaminating elements are called as Pollutants.
